Golf lovers looking for a conversation to have while consuming a beer will often discuss the most incredible golf stars of their respective times. The game of golf changes in every epoch. The golf players have gotten stronger, and even more importantly, the gear has gotten much better. Today, wholesale golf clubs are works of craftsmanship, adding distance and marksmanship to anyone's match.

Our selection for the 1st era is Bobby Jones, the most incredible amateur player to ever swing the sticks. In 1930, Jones won the Grand Slam overcoming all amateurs and professionals. Ponder thatfeat. In the U.K., he won both the British Amateur Championship and the British Open. Golf's Grand Gentleman conquered thirteen majors and quit competitive golf attwenty-eight. Others like the tremendous competitor Byron Nelson were splendid during this era, but we'd put our wager on Hogan in an 18-hole playoff any time.

Our selection for the second time frame is amazing ball-striker Ben Hogan. He won an bodacious sixty-three tournaments from the late 30's to late 50's, despite losing time to WWII and a near-fatal accident. A unyielding competitor, Hogan epitomized endurance and his capability to hit perfect shots from anywhere on the tees. He spent decades analyzing the golf swing, and created one of the superior swings ever found on the fairways! Golf clubs wholesalers have been vending sticks designed by Hogan for years.

Arnold Palmer heads the list for the 3rd incredible player. The man at the front of Arnie's Army used his strange swing to conquere large numbers of hardware, and the hearts of the ordinary golf player in the process. Golf stars headed out to buy wholesale golf clubs and learn the game after watching Palmer play. In one of golf's greatest comebacks, Palmer emergedfrom seven strokes back in the last round to win the 1960 U.S. Open. The crowd cheered him to victory. He won 7 majors among his 60 tour victories, earning the golf nickname "the King." Palmer bests Nicklaus in our list, but we admit it's a controversial pick.

The Master of the current game is a tough selection. Actually, it's not. Only a fool would not pick Tiger Woods. He is on pace to destroy all the golf records, and now his clubs are hot items with golf club wholesalers, too. We hope they'll help us play like him!

I have great interest in wholesale golf clubs.

As a famous golf club wholesaler, I have engaged in this line for more than 10 years.

I am glad to share experiences of wholesale golf clubs with you.

Zoom Soldier

The most important thing that a golfer should acquire is a proper golf swing that is near perfect. It should be the endless effort of both veterans of the game and the novice to get a better swing at the next eighteen holes. The number of books on golf and the instructional videos available could confuse a beginner and no matter how many times or how many books you read or the DVDs you watch, they will be of no avail if the basics of the game, that remain the same for every golfer, is not properly understood and assimilated thoroughly.

The Set-Up

One of the things that makes a golf swing go off tangent is not the swing in itself but the set-up of the golfer. When we say set-up, we could refer to the golfer’s club, his accessories and clothes etc. It is the opinion of some golfers that a good set-up can offset a bad swing, which, of course, is patently incorrect. It does not matter if you have designer clubs, accessories and swank clothes or just off-the-rack clubs. It is the proper golf swing that is ultimately going to win you the game.

Spending too much time on set-up than on a game is a common mistake beginners tend to commit. Some golfers think that if they know all the technical names and terms of the game, they can just go about hitting the ball however they want. It may work for a film star in a film but it will not work for the average golfer and his bad swing.

But it is essential for you to keep in mind that when we talk about set-up we should mean the game and not the clubs, the accessories and the clothes of the golfer. It should pertain to the set-up of the golfer’s position, stance, balance etc. prior to the proper golf swing.

Bad Posture Can Destroy The Proper Golf Swing

If you are the kind of golfer that is not paying attention to the posture you adopt during a swing, then you should seriously think of chucking the game and taking up another. Golf is just not the game for you. You should know a good posture from a bad one and avoid the bad one. The key factor of a proper golf swing is the proper alignment of your head and your neck. This is the factor that is going to dictate the development of the force that will drive the ball and its flight. If you hunch over the ball, you will either hit it to the side or it will far short of the green than it should. It does not matter how hard you hit it.

Next comes balance. Not that it is in anyway inferior to posture. A good balance is required to deliver the required thrust to your swing. If you are unbalanced, you cannot hit the ball with the force that it should be struck with. If you have not perfected your stance, you will feel uneasy during play and the uneasiness will be obvious in your shot. Keep your footing on solid ground and keep it firm but not tensed up and heavy. Proper balance and posture can be cultivated by constant practice. It should become so ingrained into yourself that you should be taking up the correct position the moment you step up to tee off.

Chicken Wings

When we say chicken wings we do not mean the kind that we eat and relish. This variety can best be left at home or reserved for a victory dinner. It is the act of letting your arm and your wrist go limp when putting a ball that is known as a chicken wing. It is a bad habit and should be overcome by strict discipline and practice. If this limp action is allowed then your arm will fly up and all the power developed will get dissipated.

Golfers who do not pay the necessary attention to their swing tend to commit this so called chicken wings. Chopping or slicing will be the result of losing power and executing a chicken wing.

Learn the good aspects of the game and practice them to perfection. Learn the bad things about golf and strive to avoid them.

The author Ian Bell says that improving on your game of golf need not be difficult or frustrating. Left Hand

How do improve dribbling with my left hand?

Shooting is OK for me, it's just I can't dribble with my left hand. My right hand isn't great at it either. I want to try out for high school bball in a month, so how can i get better at dribblin w./ my left (and right) hands?
U think trying out will help my dribbling? What?

The only way to get better at anything is practice. But it also has to be the right kind of practice. If you really want to be good, you'll need to practice every day.

Start basic. Practice dribbling with your head up and don't worry about running full speed, until you can safely control the ball..

Do each ball handling drill with your left hand and with your right hand. Be sure to keep your head up and don't "stand up" out of an athletic position.

One of my favorite drills is the wall dribble. Standing with your body facing perpendicularly to the wall, and with the ball roughly an arms length from the wall begin to dribble against the wall, moving closer and changing speeds (and hands). Its a lot easier if you do a set of 5-10 a time, rotating hands each set.

The figure eight dribble is always a great way to use both hands.

When you're really good, you can dribble two balls with your head up, bringing the ball gradually closer to the ground, doing crossovers and dribbling behind your back (all with your head up).

Left handed crochet help

Working crochet left-handed is just as easy as working it right-handed. The methods for forming the stitches and holding the hook and yarn remain the same; you simply use your left instead of right hand. Patterns and instructions are generally written for right-handed people.

Therefore, remember to substitute left for right and vice versa. This is the only adjustment you will need to make. The easiest way to learn crochet if you're left-handed is to sit opposite another crocheter and mirror their movements.

If you're using a book for instruction, you can take the illustrations to a copiers and ask them to make transfer image copies. This flips the images over. If looking at diagrams on the Internet, keep a mirror next to your monitor. Position it so that you can view your monitor through it. The mirror will flip the images to make them left hand interpreted. Alternately, use the right click function on your mouse over the image.

Any image-editing program, like Windows Paint, will allow you to reverse diagrams before printing out by doing a "horizontal flip". Usually though, it can be easier to change the settings on your printer so that it reverse or mirror image prints.

Sometimes, you may have to take a few minutes to prepare if you're a left hander, but the amount of effort is minimal and will save you hours that could be lost trying to figure out how to reverse instructions.

Cleats Ignite

ELECTRIC BIKER

Pedal-Assisted Pleasure...

Stepping outside my island hideout, I hoist the bamboo-stiffened tarp like a gaff-rigged mainsail and cleat it off to the side of the shed. In the soft interior light, the bike's clear plastic fairing throws off reflections with the promise of motorized adventure only two wheels can offer.

The machine waits, eager and enticing, as I pull on helmet, goggles and gloves and zip my armored jacket to the chin. The charger's pulsing green light says, "Go!"

Unplugging the BikeE, I wheel it out under last winter's ravaged apple tree, swing my leg over its low-slanting frame, and settle back in the semi-reclining seat with a sigh of coming home. A quick brake check and final adjustment of the handlebar mirror gives me a moment to focus and quiet the adrenaline surging through me like the voltage I'm about to feed my pony.

Reaching down, I punch the big red button on the heavy duty controller bolted to the side of the bike's box frame. A red glow reflecting on my glove is the only indication that we have ignition.

I touch the thumb throttle and any doubt disappears in a surge of torque.

As Honda Chairman Takeo Fukui reminds us, "Even the best internal-combustion engines still waste more than 80% of the energy created by burning gasoline."

But electric hub motors can deliver full power directly to the wheel. And if that rotating motivator happens to be just 16-inches in diameter and connected to the front of a low-slung bicycle, you'd better be ready to brace for the kind of acceleration that brings big grins to the faces of all those who believe that fast is good.

And faster is better.

Shouting, "Power to the people!" I tuck my feet into the Power Grip straps as the bike moves forward under its own power and each pedal rotates into position. Making for the cove's paved two-lane road, I swing out of the gravel driveway that earlier last summer judo-flipped me into a 10-week aching meditation on paying attention. (Nothing broken and not a scratch on the bike - and no bruises if I'd been wearing the padded mountain bike jacket I always wear now.) Downshifting the internal rear hub transmission, I keep peddling in laid-back comfort for the long climb out of the "gravity well" leading up the relentlessly steep and scenic hill from Ford Cove.

Passing Olson's farm, the grade inclines. Tilting back in the seat like a light plane pilot on a long climb-out, I keep peddling easily while gradually coming in with full power. Despite the drastically steepening grade, speed continues to hover around 22 kph as the numbers denoting amperage draw tick over quickly on the Cycle Analyst meter: 8, 10, 14, 20… 29 amps!

Don't try this on a hot summer day without at least a 36-volt motor/battery combo, heavy-duty fuse clip and overbuilt power controller!

But this classic, power-assisted BikeE handles the load without strain. Even at full power, the whine of the motor is much quieter than the bird cries and soft wash of distant surf. Lulled by the hum of the bike's spinning tires, I lay back in my lawn chair and admire the ocean view as the hill that used to necessitate three panting stops to recharge my "preemie" lungs tops out in trees, sunshine and smiles.

Starting down the backside, I firm my grip on the handlebars as the bike tips straight down in one long burn of all this "heightened" energy. Weighing over 225 pounds with rider, battery, controller and motor onboard, the BikeE sucks up gravity like rocket juice, accelerating like a Saturn IV leaving the pad.

In seconds, the speedo whisks past 40 k.

Whack! A bug bounces off my newly acquired ski-goggles. Good purchase!

Even with power all the way off, at 45 kilometers-per-hour, "organic" regen kicks in as the spinning front hub motor maxes out and begins pumping juice back into the battery. Our descending rush does not slow as 13 amps momentarily surge back into the 36-volt sausage of wired-together Nickel-Metal Hydride laptop batteries cinched to the bike's boxbeam frame in front of the seat.

Nearly supersonic, I "think" the bike's little front wheel past a jagged pothole. Even though you can't fly over the handlebars in a recumbent crash, a front tire blow-out at 57 k would not be fun. Which is why that Kenda Qwest high-pressure tire is new, internally protected with slime and a Kevlar puncture barrier - and regularly replaced.

Speed slackens gradually as the BikeE levels out, but it's still another few moments before peddling again takes effect. Downshifting once, twice, three-times on the seven-speed rear sprocket, I thumb the power back in to keep grunt work off the pedals as the next hill looms. One more swooping roller-coaster is followed by a long pleasant flat stretch that finds me lightly blipping the throttle in a "pulse and glide" technique that extends range while keeping peddling speed near a brisk 30 k.

Onboard a conventional bike, I'd be staring down at the pavement, back bent, with my weight on my aching wrists. But unlike full recumbents, which put riders almost on their backs, the BikeE's more upright seating gives me good eye contact with the astonished driver of a passing car - as well as fine views of unscrolling woods, sky and farms. I once passed Hogan trotting his horse along this stretch, proving conclusively the "one horsepower-plus" rating of my 480-watt Crystallite e-motor.

Then comes another long delightful downhill run past a fine sweep of ocean rolling into Little Tribune Bay. Even leveling off, this descent carries me in a rush all the way to the Co-Op bike rack.

Who says a grocery run has to be boring?

Or must burn carbon?

The bike's big wire basket, Spiderman totepack, and extra-long frame allow me to carry more than 30 pounds of cargo with ease. (I've even hauled logs lashed to the frame.) A trailer would turn this bike into a pickup truck, while carrying an extra battery for nearly 100 km range!

So far, so good. The reliability of this rig is nearly 100% after I learned to obsessively tape, wire-tie and check every looping strand of wire clear of spinning sprockets and pedals. Over less than a year, the 1,800 or so kilometers I've covered on my electrified BikeE translate into roughly 40 gallons of gasoline saved - or more than 800 pounds of CO2 kept out of the atmosphere forever. Except for my own exhalations of course. Which I tend to do anyway.

Mental and physical health benefits are incalculable. Not to mention the additional personal liberation of saving a fortune on the car I no longer support. At 59 - on my electric bike - life is good!

No one ever told me the end of the world (as we've known it) would be so much fun.

A Secret But Most Effectual Strategy To Make It Big As A Musician

Have you been hiding in obscurity for too long and are longing to be centre stage?

Here is a sure-fire way to kick-start your classical music career and get you centre stage: become a page turner! Consider the following tributes of two legendary musicians and page turners and remember: you too can make it big as a classical musician!

The first tribute comes from concerts notes of an unidentified chamber music recital:

Tonight's page turner, Ruth Spike, studied under Ivan Schmertnick at the Boris Nitsky School of Page Turning in Philadelphia. She has been turning pages here and abroad for many years for some of the world's leading pianists.

In 1988, Ms. Spike won the Wilson Page Turning Scholarship, which sent her to Israel to study page turning from left to right. She is the winner of the 1984 Rimsky Korsakov Flight of the Bumblebee Prestissimo Medal, having turned 47 pages in an unprecedented 32 seconds. She was also a 1983 silver medalist at the Klutz Musical Page Pickup Competition: contestants retrieve and rearrange a musical score dropped from a Yamaha. Ms. Spike excelled in "grace, swiftness, and especially poise."

For techniques, Ms. Spike performs both the finger licking and the bent-page corner methods. She works from a standard left bench position, and is the originator of the dipped-elbow page snatch, a style used to avoid obscuring the pianist's view of the music.

She is page-turner in residence in Fairfield Iowa, where she occupies the coveted Alfred Hitchcock Chair at the Fairfield Page Turning Institute.

The second tribute goes to my beloved guitar teacher of many years:

A Guitarist page turner has the challenge of having to remain inconspicuous for the entire performance right next to the performer, centre stage with no grand piano to hide behind.

Prof Dr. L. Witos, a first class performer and guitarist himself, has worked tirelessly on page turning techniques for guitarists. In the year 1985 he perfected his revolutionary method of the Dash and Dive act.

He positions himself among the audience – preferable the first row - and at the exact right time dashes towards the music stand with lightening speed, turns the page from right to left (as he is now in front of the performer) and sits down again. All this he does with such swiftness and finesse that the audience is too bamboozled to take any notice. It needs to be noted that Dr. Witos always works from memory and knows by heart all the music and the particular editions his students play from. To this very day he has never missed a page turn and all his students trust and admire him exceedingly.
