With the prevalence of Tiger woods’ unbeatable legend, what a thrill it is to see all of these youngsters picking golf set up and swinging on the golf course all over the region. Parents and young players pursue the “next Tiger”.

You know, parents are generous to absorb their free time into their children’s golfing. My nephew was introduced casually the game when he was allowed to visit the golf course. It was really a visit; you know he just walked on the course and watch parents’ swing.

For watching the enjoyment of his parents and my brother couples spent so much time on the course, the little boy began to want to have a try this game. I see now, wanting to try the game was a big motivator for him. There was no one dragging him to the golf course and giving him the lessons to play, but he did well in golfing now.

From him, it can be got that it is necessary to have an instructor in a child’s success. And parents can take the role of instructor to push the child at a slow rate and stay with children if it's a good thing for the junior golfer - not just the parent!

You should encourage your child to compete but don't force the issue. To play tournament, you should give your children more confidence to overcome the fear of win-lose situation. Remember there is no need to have a 10 or less handicap to play tournament.

Well, junior will be completing with others of his or her own ability. So you need to be in the nice state to develop next golf talents. Give them more motivator and make them enjoy the game with correct introduction. You have the energy to stir your children to pick up golf set.

I am a really lucky person. I absolutely love the game of golf, and "bad shots" just don't get to me in the way that they do a lot of other golfers. To me, when that ball ends up tucked under the rim of a sand trap, or right up behind a tree trunk, I am provided with an opportunity to be creative; I relish the opportunity to try something new on the golf course and then just watch what "pops out".

I guess that I'm lucky in that the score doesn't matter to me. I'm not playing golf to earn enough money to feed the family or pay the mortgage. I play golf because I enjoy golf, and everything which goes with it - the friends you make, the scenery, the fresh air, the exercise. The majority of golfers are in a similar position in that their livelihood does not depend upon them holing out on the 18th for a birdie.

Not all club golfers, however, enjoy their "bad shots" or respond to them in a positive manner. Somehow, a fear of embarrassment or a competitive nature can get in the way of true enjoyment of the game. I'm not denying that golf throws up many an opportunity for frustration; the game of golf is extremely challenging to one's emotional stability!

If you are a beginner at golf, it helps to recognize that it is a really tricky game to play involving a long club, a small ball and a really large distance to cover. Don't worry about what other people think; those other golfers started off in exactly the same place as you. They understand how that club can seem to turn itself into an octopus in your hands and how that ball can get all stubborn and refuse to move in the right direction (if indeed it decides to move at all).

And remember that you do get better at golf with practice so do not be disheartened. Whenever you go to the range or play a few holes there are always a few lovely shots which "pop out"; replay these in your mind's eye and enjoy the feeling of accomplishment over and over again. You know that you are capable of hitting shots like this and they will happen more and more frequently. This is what gets you excited and chomping at the bit to get out there and play again!

Please don't allow your shoulders to slump and your gaze to just contemplate the grass upon the fairway. Your body language reflects your moods and emotions. When you feel down, everything about your body language heads south. Square your shoulders, raise your eyes and enjoy the beauty of the golf course; laugh with your friends, and know that this is just a tricky little game which is going to get easier and easier with practice, so long as you don't worry about it. Just as your moods are reflected in your body language, as you consciously lift your eyes and shoulders up, this will have a reciprocal effect upon your emotions. Always keep your head high when playing golf. Keep your head up and feel uplifted; allow your head to stay down and you will feel down.

The other thing that is really helpful is to not forget the task in hand. The aim of the game is to hit the ball with the clubface and move that ball forwards in the right direction. As a beginner it can be really complicated trying to remember how you are meant to stand, and how your hands are meant to go, and each movement in the swing, and how far to stand from the ball, and how high to tee the ball up...and all too easy to forget that all you need to do is to aim in the right direction and then hit the ball!

Golf is a really unique game and well worth the trials and tribulations encountered in its learning. What other game can you play on your own as well as with others, in groups of two, three or four? And players of all levels can play together without an individual's game being compromised? And people of almost any fitness level and age can enjoy? And be outside in the fresh air? And play on different courses all over the globe? I could go on and on about the beauty of this game but think I've probably said enough! This is a very GREAT game.

Enjoy your golf!

If you are interested in getting a home in Boca Raton, Florida, you should find the right area to invest in. There are many good options to consider in this regard, but it is hard to find a better area than St Andrews Country Club.

Basically, St Andrews Country Club is a private golf course community where you can find as many as 732 amazingly designed single family homes. Due to 70 acres of lakes and 718 acres of fairways, buying a home in this area is nothing less than a dream come true for many people. The best thing is the availability of contemporary-styled clubhouse, which has everything to satisfy all needs of members. This 125,000 square feet clubhouse is arguably the center of attraction for those who come to this part of the world.

In terms of real estate investment, this area is still a good option to consider. Though it is a fact that real estate market in Boca Raton is not at its very best, you can still find many people who are interested in buying a home in this part of the world. And, this is primarily because of some amazing and exclusively designed homes in St Andrews Country Club. It is due to perfect location and amazing facilities that you can find houses in different areas at different rates. For instance;

If your are interested in getting a home with 5 bedrooms and 5.2 bathrooms in 7059 Queenferry Cir, you might have to spend somewhere around $3,995,000. Similarly, if you opt for 5-bedroom and 6-bathroom home in 7590 Fenwick Pl, you might have to spend somewhere close to $3,200,000. But, if you have a tighter budget, you can consider buying a home in Ballantrae Ct. In this area, you can get a home with 6 bedrooms and 8.1 bathrooms at $2,995,000 or less.

What it implies is that you will have to spend different amount of money to get a home in different areas in St Andrews Country Club. The price will not only change with a change in area, but facilities will also have an impact on total price. And, it is just considering this particular fact that many people always prefer buying a home in this part of the world after getting in touch with a real estate agent. Yes, you can get things done on your own, but you will have to spend some time to learn more about the prices and real estate trends in different areas in Boca Raton and St Andrews Country Club.

So, the fact of the matter is that buying a home in St Andrews Country Club is a good option, but you might see a great change in prices of these homes. That’s why it is better to consult with a real estate agent to learn more about the best areas to buy your dream home.

Do you have a preferred golf player? Is it Tiger Woods or Ernie Els? Have you endlessly considered that your swing looks similar to theirs? Woods and Els are two excellent golf players. While you observe them play, you can certainly become aware of their elegant and dominant swings. Truthfully, it is not easy to reproduce that merely by watching. Following the steps below to improve golf swing.

Having a high-quality swing needs continuous practice. Also, your body needs to be well tuned up for it to do properly. Here are a number of essential tips to help you develop your golf swing and might help you shoot in the 90s or even 80s.

1. Warm up. Just like any other game or sport, golf players need a little warming up before starting a round. This is what most players, especially amateurs, often take for granted.

It is best to come early at the golf course and take a few minutes to stretch those muscles and warm up. This will make your muscles "know" that they are in for something and that they should be prepared. Taking a few swings in the driving range will also help you get tuned up and perform better.

2. Exercise. This is actually important, not only for golf. Constantly exercising your body and muscles will be able to keep them toned and prepared for any action. This will moreover avoid frequent body aches and pains that you typically experience when playing golf.

Getting into the habit of exercising, in particular tuning up your muscles will be able to possess a huge impact on your swing. It can assist you obtain a good quality position and encourage total balance and control on your swings and help hit longer drives.

3. Do not swing too hard yet. It is in fact alluring to provide your swing that additional effort. Then again, it is not recommended unless you already obtain the control of your swing. The secret to a strong and polished swing is the balance and control that you possess, add to it the right form and stance.

Therefore how do you get to learn to control your swing? Yet again, it's tip number 2. Regular training will, in time, permit you to obtain a faster, more controlled swing.

Aside from these easy steps to do, it is also best to ask help from the pros, face-to-face or thru online methods. They will be able to give high-quality advices as they already have learned a lot from their experiences. Keeping updated with the most up-to-date about golf will also help.

Additionally, nearly all players are inclined to be so mindful in their longing to develop their swing that their minds are focused on all features of the swing itself; doing that will simply make your swing appear clumsy. As an alternative, it is best to keep your mentality off your swing. Strive to concentrate on something else and the high-quality swing will just tag along.

Try to do these things when you play golf again. And do these regularly, then notice the change it will make on your next golf swing and you'll be on your way to break 80!

Whisk Me Away To The PGA Championship Live Stream Online Now For Free

Will Tiger Woods win this tournament? Well, at the moment he's at position one on the leaderboards with; Hunter Mahan, Padraig Harrington, Robert Allenby and Matthew Goggin trailing behind (in that order).

One of the most popular vacation destinations within the Northern State of Minnesota is the Grand View Lodge. This multi-faceted resort is home to three golf courses. The Pine Golf Course added in 1990 and Preserve and Deacon's Lodge which have quite recently followed suit.

The Pine Golf Course has been named the only five star golf course in the Minnesota state by popular golfing magazine - Golf Digest. I found this quite surprising considering the sheer number of great golf courses within Minnesota.

This will be the 91st anniversary of the PGA Championship since it began back in 1918. Hazeltine Golf Course has been the host of many world class and prestigious golfing tournaments including two United States Women's Golfing Opens in 1966 and 1977, two United States Golfing Opens and a United States Senior Golfing Open in 1983. Due to the fact that Hazeltine is a private golf course it will mean that the average joe will be able to buy a ticket to watch the PGA Championship 2009.

The UPro golf GPS system is easily the most sophisticated golf GPS on the market. It not only gives you distances, but also various views of any of thousands of courses. When you buy the uPro, you get one download of a course. The rest you can get on a pay per download basis. If you've ever been in the position of playing a new course and getting frustrated, then the UPro golf GPS system might easily be the solution for you.

There are a few things you need to know about the UPro golf GPS system, however. In this article, I'll go over them in order.

State of the Art Technology

The UPro golf GPS system employs state of the art engineering. It's quite a bit more sophisticated then its closet competitors. For instance, the details of the thousands of golf courses it can render are made possible by very sophisticated GPS technology and aerial and satellite imaging. Specifically, this golf GPS has what’s called "SmartView" technology. This allows you to see everything you need to see for your next shot through an aerial view. In addition, the uPro has what's called "AnyPoint" technology. This helps you measure distances along the course from any point on the course.

The uPro has two modes, basic and pro. Both basically gives you locations of the fairway and hazards in relation to where you are on the course. Pro allows you to look at the course from an aerial perspective. In this aerial view, the UPro golf GPS system shows you 100, 150, and 200 yard marks from the center of the green.

High Resolution Screen

The uPro golf GPS system has a high resolution screen that's easy to see in any light, even though it's only a 2.2" screen, which is 320 x 240 pixels in size. The only real complaints about the screen have been in the pro mode in very bright sunlight. You might have the angle the device slightly in order to get the best view of the screen. That's not just a problem with the uPro, though. All screens are difficult to see in direct, bright sunlight. In order to resolve this problem, the uPro comes with a transflective screen, which minimizes the problem with sun glare.

Easy to Use

Besides this one possible complaint about the screen in direct sunlight, the UPro golf GPS system is remarkably easy to use. When you approach a hole, you get a flyover overview. This includes yardage lines measured from the center of the green.

The device is very light and easy to carry. You can wear it on your belt or put it in your pocket. It's so small that it will not alter your swing at all. As a matter of fact, you'll hardly know it's even there. It's actually the sleekest, thinnest model on the market. Some other golf GPS devices are a little bulky. Not the uPro.

In addition to being really easy to carry and store, you don't have to fiddle with a lot of buttons while you're golfing. You can give your uPro voice commands.

The UPro golf GPS system has a very fast GPS satellite lock in system. One of the fastest on the market, if not the fastest. Now, it generally takes all golf GPS systems a few minutes to get sync'd once you turn them on.

Thousands of Courses to Choose From

Your UPro golf GPS system can tell you which courses are currently near wherever you are. It's compatible with both Windows and Mac. With Windows, it works well with Vista. Downloading more courses is really easy. You buy these courses on a pay per download basis. So, you can buy the courses you play at most often, or if you're taking a golf vacation, you can buy the course you're planning to play at. It comes with a long-lasting lithium-ion battery.

Next, if you want more information about the UPro golf GPS system, you can find out more here, at BestGolfGPSReviews.

The Edinburgh International Festival brings the Scottish capital city of Edinburgh alive in a swathe of colours and sounds every August and draws visitors from across the globe to the city, to experience a wealth of diverse entertainment.

The Edinburgh Festival is actually a collective term for the numerous smaller festivals which take place around the city during the month, bringing a range of theatre, opera, music, comedy and arts to the capital. As you might expect, Edinburgh can become a rather bustling and sometimes noisy city during the festival month so what better way to escape from the maddening crowds than heading for the fairways of any of Edinburgh’s golf courses?

In fact, many people who visit the festival do so on a short golf break and so combine the two activities; playing golf in the mornings and then setting off into the city to catch a show and/or a bite to eat. What’s more, many of the festival’s shows run until late in the evening and in some cases even the small hours of the morning, so there’s plenty of time to do both.

Take a walk through the Meadows or down the Royal Mile where numerous performances take place all around, from fire-eaters and jugglers to magic acts and street musicians and mimes all competing for attention, while many clubs increase their opening hours well into the morning.

If you’re one of those people looking to combine the festival with the fairways of Edinburgh on a golf break, then there are plenty of options to choose from. If you’re after opulent elegance at a top class golfing venue away from the bustle of the city centre then the Marriot Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club should be high on your list. This four-star establishment has two golf courses on its estates – the East and West courses – with the East course playing host to the Solheim Cup in 2002. Dalmahoy has also staged the Scottish PGA and Scottish Seniors Open and provides a fair, if long, test for golfers. Dalmahoy is also situated a short bus or taxi ride from Edinburgh International Airport and the Waverley rail station while a regular bus service passes the front gate of the estate every fifteen minutes, linking Edinburgh with the nearby town of Livingston.

For those wishing to stay closer to the action of the festival but still tread the fairways then look for Edinburgh golf tours which list such courses as Craigmillar Park Golf Club, Braid Hills and Kings Acre Golf Club among its itinerary.

One of the best benefits of combining a golf break in Edinburgh with a visit to the festival, is the guarantee of accommodation as the hotels, hostels and bed and breakfast in and around the capital fill up quickly at festival time and remain booked throughout the month, meaning bed space is scarce. But with a golf break, you can rest assured you’ll have a place to rest your head at the end of the day.

So, if you’re considering paying a visit to Scotland’s capital for the festival, why not combine it with a golf break to play some of the city’s best courses as well as taking in some of the best independent entertainment you’ll find anywhere in the world.

Over the past 5 years, more than 25 percent of new golf courses built have been located in the Austin area. These new courses, in addition to existing courses in and around the city, have turned Austin into a golfer’s paradise. There are dozens of area public and private courses to enjoy, plus a handful of resorts, catering to the golf community. Here are just a few of the golf resorts in the Austin area that you can enjoy.

Barton Creek - Barton Creek is considered one of the best golf resorts in the state of Texas. The resort includes four championship courses, including the top two public courses in the state, as ranked in Golf Magazine. Accommodations include rooms, suites and villas. Visitors can also take advantage of the onsite spa and dining and recreation options while relaxing at this amazing resort.

Horseshoe Bay - Located 45 minutes from the city of Austin, the Horseshoe Bay resort has everything a golfer and their family could want in a resort. The retreat’s three championship courses were designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and are all listed in the top 50 courses in Texas by the Dallas Morning News. Guests can also enjoy the spa, pools, marina, tennis and dining offered right on the property, while staying in one of the resort’s hotel rooms or condominiums.

Hyatt Lost Pines - At the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort, golfers can take advantage of the resort’s affiliation with the Wolfdancer Golf Club. This 18-hole course has received several awards and accolades by local and national media sources. The resort accommodations include beautiful guestrooms and suites, plus access to a top rated spa and dining facilities.

Lakeway Resort - 18 miles from the heart of Austin lies the beautiful Lakeway resort. While the resort has no course of its own, guests can enjoy privileges at four of the best private courses in the state. The Yaupon, Live Oak, Flintrock and Falconhead courses welcome Lakeway guests on to their award-winning courses. Guests can also enjoy the resort spa, marina and tennis facilities that are available with a stay in one of the rooms or suites.

Mill Creek Resort - Mill Creek Resort is located just an hour from the heart of Austin and offers its guests a choice of three 9-hole courses designed by architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Accommodations include townhouses, condominiums and suites, and business conferences and tournaments can be booked at the resort.

Golf is a game and should be fun. Fun is what it’s all about; playing a great game with a few pals. No matter how good a golfer you are and no matter how important your golf may have become to you, it’s still a game and should be enjoyed in the spirit of the game. It’s a recreational activity, which you should find relaxing.

Do you find it relaxing? Or do you find your emotions being affected in a rather different way as you play this great game? Do you find yourself hacking your golf clubs into the ground, or slinging them across the fairway? Do you find yourself muttering four letter words under your breath (or out loud)?

We all have caricatures in our minds of the true "Mr. Angry". Are you a "Mr. Angry golfer?" If so, would it be handy to be able to change?

Anger is a normal and usually healthy human emotion. When anger is controlled, or managed, it will not cause you, or anyone around you, any harm. But when it is out of control it will become destructive. Uncontrolled anger is a major cause of conflict in both personal and professional relationships, on an off the golf course.

Anger is an emotional state which may vary in intensity and which is accompanied by physiological and biological changes - your heart rate increases, blood pressure rises, adrenaline is secreted at a greater level. Not very helpful when you're trying to play a game that requires a state of relaxed concentration in order to be able to put your best swing on the golf ball.

Anger is caused by your own perception of events, whether that event is happening now, or in the past, or you are anticipating a future event. It is important that you understand this fact. You create your own anger. Your golf ball may have found its way into the trees, or a plugged lie; there may be a lack of baskets at the range or the tee box may not be level…but "it" did not make you angry...You did.

You will no doubt have wondered how some golfers remain calm, or even laugh, no matter what happens to their ball whilst others "blow" or "flip" at the slightest thing. The difference is that some people have learnt to manage their anger, whilst others have given in to it.

You have probably watched "Fawlty Towers" and laughed at Basil's antics. But isn't the entire series based on taking off mismanaged anger and frustration? And the exaggerated body language demonstrates beautifully the actual effect of anger - raised voice, jerky movements, clenched fists, and...a direction for the anger - usually Manuel or Mrs. Fawlty...and the disastrous results that are achieved reflect the destructive effect of uncontrolled anger.

And the equivalent of Basil in golf can be equally amusing some of the time...or perhaps embarrassing, depending on how you see it. The direction for the anger is usually the ball, the clubs, the nearest gorse bush, and so on. In extreme cases the entire trolley and clubs have been known to be launched into water and never retrieved!

The question is how have those non-angry people learnt to manage their anger? How can "Basil" learn to manage his anger? And, more importantly, do you want to control your anger? Because if you don't want to, you won't even try. Everyone can change so long as they want to. You're not born angry, you just haven't learnt how to manage your anger.

Believe it or not, everyone can learn to control their own internal response to things that previously triggered anger; to learn to control their body rather than letting it control them. To learn to slow their body down rather than letting it speed up. The purpose of anger management is to learn how to change the way you react to your "anger triggers". You can't change external events, but you can change your emotional and physiological reactions to them.

You can use hypnotic suggestion, NLP techniques and positive visualization to assist in controlling your anger. Firstly, it is important to learn to relax. This is easy if you know how, but difficult if you don't. You can be taught simple relaxation which you can practice regularly, thereby "bringing you down" a level or two, and so less likely to respond to anger triggers. You can learn to relax quickly and easily whilst on the golf course; you have the ability to relax just as quickly as you have the ability to get yourself wound up.

Secondly, it is necessary to explore the way in which you think and learn how to change that. Angry people tend to speak in raised voices, swear, move jerkily, etc. They see big pictures in their minds eye (usually in dramatic Technicolor) of what they don't want to happen ("I know it's going into those trees") and respond to this self-created image. Angry people tend to talk to themselves with nasty, aggressive voices and chunter away to themselves about the unfairness of things ("why is it my ball that's always lost?"), or how life is against them, or how unlucky they are. You can learn techniques that will enable you to turn the volume down on these internal voices, speak in a nicer tone and to see nicer pictures in your mind's eye; i.e. to change your instinctive response to these triggers.

It's also worth exploring whether your overall belief system in flawed. For example if you believe that you "always" have bad luck or that such and such "never" comes your way, you will not notice when things are going well, on or off the golf course; You've programmed yourself to only see the bad. And when bad things happen, you've visualized your own angry response, etc. Thus, it is important to explore and alter wider belief structures about yourself and your world.

Anger is often induced by very real problems and frustrations. If you have a belief structure that says you can handle anything no matter how bad it is, you will respond positively to the situation, and get on with the task of taking your next shot, without becoming angry. You will therefore stop the tendency to jump to negative and inaccurate conclusions. If, on the other hand, the belief structure of "nothing ever works for me" comes into play, angry feelings are triggered and the result is negative in every way - you feel angry, stopping yourself from thinking straight, and then make poor strategy choices and then who knows where the golf ball will end up? The problem simply becomes compounded.

One's expectations must be examined. Are they realistic? Many angry people simply expect too much or want something "right now" and then get angry when the impossible doesn't materialize. It is important to restructure such expectations and give them a "reality check". Do you expect every shot to be perfect? The pros don't expect that. Do you expect to play golf on a Saturday morning, after a few beers on Friday night, no practice in the week and hit every ball perfectly? If so, it's time to run that reality check for yourself!

A feeling of inadequacy or insecurity is frequently the heart of the problem. (A fear that you're not good enough, for example). This feeling is then redirected (either consciously or subconsciously) into the emotion of anger, as this angry feeling prevents you from feeling hurt. Thus it is important to change this belief structure as well; to feel that you are good enough in every way. Anger may also really be directed at oneself, but projected outwards onto another person or object.

Balance is of course the goal state to be achieved. Positive strategies towards real problems need to be learned, as do positive beliefs about yourself. The good news is that you are not born angry. This is a learnt response and so it can be unlearned and replaced with a different strategy which works for you, instead of against you.

It's up to you to decide. Do you want to stop "Basiling", to learn to stop being angry on the golf course and to enjoy your golf from now on?

You need to take your mental golf skills out with you onto the course and use them "on the spot", so to speak. A frequently cited problem with this is that many golfers find that they can visualize their perfect shot from the armchair, but cannot seem to "see it" when standing over the ball. If this happens to you, ask yourself the question "what's stopping you from seeing it now?" Because if you can see the shot when at home but not on the course, there is nothing wrong with your visualization skills. Something else is getting in the way.

Maybe it's the fact you're not relaxed, you're feeling a bit tense and so can't seem to access the more creative part of your mind. If so, ask yourself "Why am I tense?" Maybe the answer is because you don't want to make a fool of yourself, or because you don't think you can hit that shot, and so on. Keep asking yourself "Why?" until you get to the root of the problem. Why are you scared of making a fool of yourself? And so on.

Awareness precedes choice which precedes change. You have to know the cause to change the effect. Once again, this is true of everything in life, not just golf. Why do you worry about what people think? Why don't you think you can hit that shot? Why don't you see golf as a game and have some fun playing it? Why can't you laugh at yourself? "Why?" is a wonderful question, which will encourage mental exploration and subsequent discovery, so long as you are honest with yourself and so long as you follow the thread right back to its beginnings.

Think of the phrase "a train of thought" and imagine that you are in the rear carriage, right at the back of the train, and as you ask yourself "Why is that?" and find your own answer you'll move forwards to the next carriage. Keep working through the carriages of your thought train and eventually you cannot help but reach the engine. And once you reach that engine and become the driver of your train, you can choose your driving direction.

Once you have taken control in this way, you will find that your imagination is truly limitless. You will be able to imagine exquisite golf shots, not only in your armchair, but when you are standing over the ball in a tight spot when you're in the lead on the 18th.

Having a vivid imagination is a priceless skill. Most of us have a vivid imagination that comes to us naturally when we're afraid of the outcome - then we can create internal movies that run like a horror story. All you need to do is to tap into this natural ability to visualize and choose to imagine what you want to happen instead of what you don't. And remember whatever you imagine you're likely to create, so make sure you choose to imagine great shots with great outcomes. In this way you'll walk down the fairway with your head held high and a spring in your step.

A golf tournament is always a great experience for everyone involved. It is a great opportunity to gather friends, family and the community all together at the same time. Whether planning a small tournament for friends of a city-wide event for charity, having a good detailed plan will help the event run smoothly and allow everyone to enjoy themselves. The following is simply some steps and advice to help you get started with the planning and organization of a golf tournament.

One of the beginning tasks is to project the number of golfers to participate in the tournament and how many volunteers will be needed on the course. This is one of the most important things when organizing a tournament because it will affect the golf course it will take place on, the amount of prizes you will give away and the format of the tournament.

Before reserving any courses it is important to determine your budget for the whole tournament. Your budget will determine the course you use, participants’ entry fee, the prizes you buy, food and drinks offered, and date of the tournament.

Pick a format to follow for the tournament. The format will differ whether you are planning a team golf tournament or a singles tournament. Most tournaments just for fun or for charity follow a two-man or four-man scramble. However, some other formats that could be used are match play, best ball or alternate shot.

Pick the cost of the entry fee and the deadline for participants to pay that fee. Next, if you plan on anyone attending you need to announce and advertise the tournament. Be sure to include the golf course's location, dates, entry fee, sign-up deadlines, format and benefiting charities in the announcements.

You have a large task ahead of you so make sure to get help and plan ahead. Every aspect in the organization of the tournament will be easier and save money by simply planning ahead. For planning a large tournament it may be helpful to create committees to accomplish specific tasks. The more you plan ahead the more time you will have to organize a well run golf tournament. Lastly, have fun with it. The whole point of putting together a golf tournament is for people to enjoy themselves to don't get too stressed and remember to enjoy yourself!
